I have read that green anoles need UVB to make vitamin D. Is it possible to just supplent it for a week or 2 untill i would be able to get a UVB light bulb? Thanks

Excuse my mistake, its vitamin D3, not vitamin D

although some may dissagree with me, there are supplements that you can use, although i have never tried them. even if you didnt use the supplements though, i recomend you do, then ADULT anoles could go a week or two without getting metabolic bone disease or a dificientcy in D3. i am not sure about neonates or smaller/ growing anoles, they would probably need the exposure.

if you could find a way to take them outside when its nice out(not sure where u live) you could take them in the sun for a bit, thats even better. but unless u are sure they wont run(u prolly wont be sure!) i would take them out in sumthing... not glass though, you WILL fry them.

Take them out for an hour or so a day in direct sunlight, screen and wood cages are ideal for outdoor use, no plastic, no glass, and no black. What type of anoles are they?

It will be a 2 green anoles. I will probely get them soon.
