Putting babies back in with parents

patrickcrowley Aug 04, 2005 10:34 AM

How long after the eggs hatch can they be placed with the parents?

What is the average out of ten eggs laid that will be hatched, roughly?

Thanks.

Patrick

They need their own tank. After about 4 months or so..when they have some size they can be with older collareds. But always be careful.

They can begin to mate at the early age of 8- 9 months old so watch that also.

My Kachina the mom of my last large clutch layed 10 eggs , one seemed to be to small and weak to get out of the egg but NINE hatched.

In most clutches you may get a couple who do not make it. But hopfully yours all will

Best wishes
