is it worth it

my best friends cuz who is going to colleg in sep, is selling all of his reptiles, he gave his 2 bd to his cuz who is 13, and his boa to a breeder by his house and he gets some of the money for they babys now all he has to get rid of his black rough neck monitor and the 4 by 3 by 6 ft cage with everything, dirt big dish vines tree limbs and the other stuff and his 3 ft rough neck, all for $700, he will giver it to me for 650 tho, does everyone think it is worth it,

how hard is it to breed them bc this is a male and if i like them i might try and breed them bc u see a lot of brn for sale,

the animal is wc treated he had it for 2 yrs now and is some what tame outside the cage, in the cage a beast bc he feel that that is his place but if u leave the door open hje comes right out to you

I think the question is do you think it is worth it? There is an add for 1.1 - 3.5 to 4' rough necks in the classifieds for $400.00

Two things "i like them i might try and breed them bc u see a lot of brn for sale" IMHO because you see allot of them for sale is not a good reason to breed them. How about breeding them to improve the species, learn i.e. further your knowledge of breeding them in captivity, maybe one day educate others. Second, if you are going to breed him why worry if he is going to come to you with the cage door open. He is a monitor not a kitty.
