What size cage is needed for an adult Red Coachwhip?
I have kept numerous coachwhips, one of my favorite snakes. I kept them in 4'x2' cages. Height varied.
An acclimated snake would probably do fine in something smaller. Stressed specimens will rub their noses raw in just about any cage.
Tough situation. I don't believe even a 4'x2' cage is enough for a stressed specimen. But if the specimen is pretty calm they do okay even in sweater boxes (although I certainly do not recommend THAT).

4.3 Gonyosoma janseni - (Black)
Thanks for responding Chris. I have my eye on a young CBB specimen.
I think by the time it's an adult it won't matter a whole lot how much space you provide. I think anything bigger than a 40 gallon would be great.
Send me an e-mail if you know of anymore CBB specimens.
These are just awesome snakes. I used to keep about five forms of Masticophis. I loved having herps over and hand them a totally tame coachwhip. They always left very impressed.
Typo corrected in blue.
