that looks a lot more like an amel or a reverse okeetee to me...... pretty though!

Are you sure that's a sunglow? What's up with all the white? Someone correct me if I am wrong, but aren't sunglows basically amels without the white borders?

It was sold to me as a sunglow but it does look alot like a reverse okeetee. It does have more orange in it and the older it gets more and more orange comes out.

although the colors are vivid and it glows beautifully that is unfortunately not a sunglow. Sunglows have no white.

A reverse okeetee is a selective bred amel bred to enhance the white borders around the saddles.
Okeetees are known for the thick black borders, reverse okeetees thick white borders. I don't believe the borders on your snake really classify as a reverse okeetee but it is still a very nice amel and in no way should be considered a lesser animal.

That is definitely not a Sunglow, nor would it qualify for a Reverse Okeetee. Both of these are Amels bred for specific looks. Sunglow = No white, Reverse Okeetee = thick white saddle borders, like draybar said. So since it does not fall into the "specific looking amel lines", it would be simply called an Amel.

But I also agree that your amel is one gorgeous looking animal and in no way should you think calling it 'just an Amel' that it is inferior to being either a Sunglow or Reverse Okee. I think you will find that your snake is going to mature a very bright and beautiful animal!! Love of a any particular morph is in the eyes of the beholder, not in the name of the morph.

some sellers sure like to throw the "fancy names" around, but in this case you still have a super nice looking amel corn!
