lizard traps

how do i use a trap to catch geckos in hawaii??????a non lethal one of course.any ideas of something i can make or buy for cheap.any ideas are greatly appreciated

but I heard tell of a trap using a bucket. You put something powdery but harmless in the bucket, like calcium carbonate powder.
Then bait it with some insects or whatever. The idea is that the gex go in the bucket to get the food, the powder clogs the lamalae so they cannot climb back out (sort of anti-stickey). I do not know if this works, just something I ran across in times past...
