My mom sent me this pic she happened across online,,Is this real?

ITs supposed to be from Iraq.Dontknow if its already been posted or not but Im real curious, Ive never seen a double row of teeth like that..I know that Water snakes have large teeth like the outer ones but it looks like it has fangs in the center or something?

That has been posted & discussed here a week or so ago. It is an African rock python, P. sebae that was electrocuted accidentally in a hot fence. The large teeth are just that..large teeth. Whoever told you it was from Iraq was wrong.

All snakes have a double row of teeth. The size is proportionate to that of the snake. Big snakes have big teeth.

I don't believe that is so, Pythons all have an inner row of teeth on the roof of their mouth, other snakes do not.

You better look good next time you get nailed by a big ratsnake. All of the many bites that I have gotten, clearly show a double row of teeth.

Yep, your right, they are much smaller then the pythons, I've never noticed them. Still not all snakes have the inner row, venomous snakes do not, as well as, some colubrids.
