Does anybody know the regulations on snakes in Hilton Head Island, SC?

need to know what the laws are pertaining to the size of snakes i can keep...thinkin bout settling down here...not sure what i can and cant have. thanks for ne one who knows...also, anyone living in the area, be sure to get back to me, im lookin for someone to show me around to any good herping spots. thanks a lot.

No, I DON"T know about any herp laws specific to HHI but, generally, South Carolina has the least restrictive herp laws in the country. This means that: thou shall not mess with alligators, indigos, pine barrens treefrogs, spotted turtles, gophers, Ambystoma cingulatum and probably a couple more fairly recent ones that I'm ignorant of. I've recently returned to the SlowCountry from FL and I'm still trying to assimilate. As for local herping sites I'd be willing to open your eyes to some of my old time favorites. Ring my bell.
