genetics on this girl...?

skycock Aug 04, 2005 09:08 PM

any thoughts-she has an orange ring and solid black scales running down the tail end of her body without color between them. looking for opinions-if she is anything special. also-her color fades to a pastel orange color near her belly-hard to see in pics. thanks

She is very slim ! If she can eat more, give her one more mouse.

For me, that doesn't look like a morph at all, it's look like she hurt herself. It's really look like a burn, but some people will tell you more.

i do not believe that stuffing a snake back to size is a healthy practice. i have had better luck giving my animals smaller food items on a more regular, though consistant basis. if you feed an animal two or three smaller food items a week, their growth will be more consistant than if you feed them one large food item a week. just what i have ofund to work for me over the years. oh-and it is not a "burn" on her. its tough to get good fpic of these animals. thanks for your replies-

that is where the "ringer spot" starts from. She really doesn't have enough white to really be called a ringer but that what she wants to be.

Good luck with your new snake.

The first largemouth bass I ever caught was a small two-pounder. Knowing nothing of the average size range in this species, I strolled up to the bait shop to get an opinion from the shop owner -- a frequent tournament fisher.

"Is this a good bass?" I asked.

To which he replied, "Son, any bass is a good bass."

Any ball python is a good ball python......

Is she worth keeping......of course. But keep her because you like her, not because she is the next unproven morph that is going to make you millions.
