Hey isnt it kindda late to be breeding boas now?

bthacker Aug 05, 2005 12:05 AM

I don't know. Why don't you ask my male....LOL I cycled them a bit a little early, hopefully in time to give me a few nice Christmas Boas!!! I don't think there really is a certain time of the year to breed these guys like colubrids.

Just like Jeff Ronne the Boaphile has produced babies in all but 1 or 2 months...we can control our boas environment and pretty much breed year round.

I have a female that produced 32 perfect babies in Feb 2005, and she ate like a horse and is right now being bred by the same male that produced the last litter with her.

Study your boas habits...they will speak volumes!

And most of all stay on this forum, and don't hesitate to ask questions, there is so much to learn for all of us!

Good luck breeding boas!!
