Current vote results on "Giant Constrictor Forum" as of 4:30pm Wed July 16,... 14 Yea,.. 2 Nay

BrianSmith Jul 16, 2003 06:30 PM

I think the vote results speak for themselves. Actually, there really is only 1 Nay,.. the other was really just an intentional naysay to me. But still,. even so,. 14 to 2 is a LANDSLIDE!! How do we go about getting our forum?? Where is Bonnie? She would know.

They cold be lurkers. There are probably a couple of hundred (if not more)lurkers in this forum and the other current giant forums. It could also be the same person posting under different names- you have those thatlike to bug you, ya know There used to be a way to trace the source code for the posts and identify people posting under different names, that had its drawbacks, like AOL to name the biggest drawback, but it had some accuracy. I tried to locate the souce for this post and was unable to- don't know if these new forums hide the source or if it is a different method.

Bonnie could find out in an instant. It just seems odd that all the "new" posters always seem to be directed at me, and in stark disagreement with whatever my current agenda may be, lol. I could post that no burmese should be skinned and made into hand bags and you could bet that two new names would pop up to disagree with me, lmao.

Puh-lease. Stop being so melodramatic. Not everyone on these forums is going to agree with everything you say. I've been around for quite a while. I know you love all of the attention you get here, but these people look up to you because the real herpers don't bother to post much. I know you mean well, but you have raised too many question marks in my eyes. It will all come out in the wash. I must admit, you compose yourself in a very civil manner. I respect that. I will leave you and this forum alone. Take care.

BrianSmith Jul 17, 2003 04:00 PM

Ok terdball, take care,.. and don't be a stranger. I liked the questions you shot at me and would welcome more any time. I must say, this forum does get a little dull at times. (no offense to any of my often absentee friends, lol)

Im a lurker I find it easy to look into this board to look at burms. I like em but can't keep em...

BrianSmith Jul 17, 2003 04:46 PM

Well, welcome all the same. I think it's more about burm appreciation than burm ownership anyways. And why can't you keep them? What is preventing that? Perhaps there is a solution to that too.

FWIW, I'm against a giant constrictor forum, too. There's a Burmese forum, a retic forum, and an anaconda forum now. I'd rather add an African rock python forum and an amythistine forum. That would be a clean sweep for the giants.

I think I've posted here once or twice, but mostly I'm a lurker, too. I like Burms but don't keep any now because of the size issue.

I am either for the addition of a rock python forum,. or the giant constrictor forum. I am more partial to the latter as it would be very exciting to discuss all at once. And while amythstine pythons MAY sometimes get somewhat long, I certainly would never compare them to the true giants. But that's just me perhaps. And can you imagine how dead an amythstine forum would be? We're talkin tumbleweeds.

I don't think I can handle one. They are simply too big! I still adore them though.
