and it's not letting up. My bud down there said that torrential rains is keeping him from even trying any herping for the past several days and nights and the forecast isn't looking much more promising. There has been some accidents on the river where rafters have been caught in a torrential downpour that has capsized several of them. One guy was MIA for several days when his raft got caught in winds and rain. His buddies made it out and they found him several days later alive on the banks of the Rio someplace. WOW ! Just shows again, ya can't trust the weather info at or on hand before you leave for a trip. Unfortunately, with a set time allotment of being down there and having to drive about a 1,000 miles to get there, theres not much you can do. Knowing the table of drying out time if it lets up, I told him the best he might see is all of those species of amps and just maybe a snake or 2 moving due to their places being flooded out.
