dead and buried

xelabou Aug 05, 2005 08:04 AM

This is it.
Sara is dead.

Two nights ago, she vomited crickets fed during the day, we waked up and found the mess. She was on the top of her house, eyes shut, moving slowly.

Two days before, she was voracious as usual and was pooping right.

I dont really understand but that sweet love went to heaven yesterday afternoon.

Thanks to all of you for beeing such nice friends, very helpfull in all occasions.

As I dont have any lizards left, I'm gonna stay away from the forum for a while. Sure, I'll be curious to see how big Kongster will become...

So, we found a little spot to bury her, made a prayer and left her rest in peace.

Damn, I shouldnt cry at work ... I'm leaving you with a recent picture of her.

Thanks again, wish love to all of you, collared lovers.

Sorry to hear about your lizard. She was a beauty. I know it's tough but don't give up. Find a another lizard to enjoy and take care of.

I know its very hard to lose a pet you love.

She always did look healthy and happy from the photos you posted.

Take care, it doesn't hurt to get a new one or two

Here's a photo of my first lizard, when I didn't know much on how to care for it. He would hang out with me and jump on my nose when I was looking at him.

The BEAUTIFUL Sarah will be remembered here by all. Thats so strange, I'm wondering what may have happened!

PLEASE after you feel better try and find another little lizard who needs a GREAT home with someone like YOU who will love it and care for it and spoil it rotten.

We NEED GOOD people like you to keep these little beauties !

This is such a SUDDEN shock, I will miss her pretty face! And thanks for posting this gorgeous pic of her, I hope you don't mind if I copy it and keep it ???

Thanks again for all your great words, they're a balm on my broken heart.
Pet loss makes us grow stronger to face human death better.
I've lost my father 5 years ago and immediate pain feels the same but it lasts for less time as THEY are replaceable.

I'll consider getting a "couple" next time, maybe after Christmass hollydays... (But I may fall in love again, sooner than my rationale fell)
I've searched a long time to get an appropriate male and its very frustrating because I had found one this week... finally. When on a HIGH, we fall from higher.

Learned so many things here, its sure that I'll come back often to talk YOU and see how your all American lizards are feeling
I may have done some mistakes, I'll learn from myself next time.

Et pour ceux qui peuvent lire ces lignes, je vous remercie pour l'aide donnée, votre sincérité et votre patience envers un gars et une fille du Québec qui ont eu un coup de foudre pour un certain lézard à collier.

Did you get the female c. bicinctores and the male c. collaris? Hope you find a nice pair.

Good luck,
Morgan

xelabou Aug 05, 2005 02:30 PM

Nah.

They're not on sale at the petshop and already have a familly.
Anyway, the guy was not in a hurry to let them go.

Those 2 would have been fine with Sara but I'm reconsidering a lot of things now...

I'm sorry, Alex.

At times I have just fallen apart over lizards that I have lost; and one thing that made it even harder was the fact that no one around me really understood why I could care so much for a cold-blooded, scaley lizard. At least the folks here know exactly where you're coming from.

Sara was beautiful, and you did an excellent job taking care of her. Any collared that manages to find you as its caretaker in the future will be a lucky lizard indeed.
