Overly agitated

jeremyc May 17, 2003 06:24 PM

My corn snake, not sure whether it is a male/female, seems to be constantly moving around and never stops. It always is staring into the glass tank. Ive had it for about 1/2 a year and it has never done this before. Also it has stopped eating, it has not eaten in 3 weeks. I hope nothing is wrong, is there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How young was it when you got it? If it's big enough to breed right now, I'm gonna guess it's a male. Also, if it's in pretty good overall health/weight, don't worry about the 3 week thing.
What size meals is it eating? My male albino greenish rat is not always eating his usual crawlers right now, but I was able to tempt him with 3 big fat pinkies this morning. If you have anything smaller than it's usual meal (like a pink?) see if s/he goes for it. If you are worried, or if it's still a small snake and eating pinks, you could always try cutting the head off (of the pink, of course!). Duffy
