I am thinking of purchasing 4 of these cool frogs but I can't find any information out there on them. I have looked every-where and its just pictures , no real good info on how these frogs should be setup. etc... Anyone tried them or know of any place to get credible information. Thanks, josh

I haven’t actually kept the Solomon Island leaf frogs, but I’ve always been intrigued by them. Consider locating the following resources:

Advances In Herpetoculture - This book is a collection of articles related to topics that were discussed at the 1996 IHS. It has one of the most informative articles about these frogs, including a really nice detailed section about breeding. It can be ordered from http://www.kingsnake.com/ihs/advance.html

Reptile and Amphibian Hobbyist Magazine May 1999 - If you can find a copy of this out of print magazine there is an article about their captive care in it.

Reptiles Magazine - There is an older issue, maybe 1997 or 1998, that had an article about them in the Ask the Breeder section by Rex Lee Searcey, maybe you can locate this issue.

Otherwise, if you want some quick information about their care online try visiting http://cripticspage.com:1991/caresheets/frogs/solislandeyelash.htm It’s very brief, and I’d strongly recommend checking out at least one or two of the above articles in addition to this site. If you have specific questions about their care feel free to ask. Good luck,
