I found a DOR thursday night in the desert which seems odd. I am hesitant to call it a range expansion since it could have been dumped there (my vehicle is rather "official" looking)Cheers

Back in the olden days we used to encounter them frequently on what we called "Railroad Ave", which ran between the freeway and the RR tracks near Cabazon. I've also seen them in Indian Cove in Joshua Tree (near 29 Palms).
I bet Eimon (aka Mr. Glueax) has some locale tidbits as well...
The easternmost record is White Tank, Joshua Tree National Park. They are fairly common throughout the Little San Bernardino Mts.
Stebbins (1964) places them as far east as south of Twentynine Palms and Jumbo rocks of Joshua Tree National Park.
Thanks guys, so what are the most recent sightings? Has it been since Stebbins??
Cheers
Brett
What desert? I find them in Lancaster just down out of the hills. This is the northern part of their range though. They do not normally fequent desert, but with close proximity of habitats and crazy rain seasons like this year's, who knows what to expect.
