Carnivore Yummies - Good as a staple?

SPJ01 Aug 05, 2005 01:29 PM

My sav eats this stuff and I was wondering if I could use it as the main food source and supplement with mice, insects, and boiled eggs.

Right now the main diet consists of mice supplemented with insects and boiled eggs.

Is this stuff OK to use as the main food source?

NO use whole food items. SM Rats, Mice, Quail eggs, Roaches crickets, Super worms.

I will still be feeding mice, insects, and eggs to him.

This would not be the only food item.

I was just wondering if instead of feeding 20-25 fuzzies a week, if I could feed 10-12 and offset it with this stuff?

Sure, why not? Youre the one paying for it. BOTH times. Let us know what consistancy the stool takes on in a few weeks.
hahaha

Sure. Theres no artificial additives or chemicals from what I ve read, and appears to be a decent mix of calcium/ phosphorous and protien. Why not?

Its up to you guys to find what works for your situation. If you use it, and are horrified at the results, then you can stop. But at least you know.

Personally I like mice, insects and crustaceans. But thats what I find convenient to feed to my prisioners, and it seems to be working ok for us. *shrugs*

I don't know if I like the sound of that. LOL.

Hopefully it won't be anyworse than what he does now.

You know, those yummies are the one and only thing that my Savanna Shyla has turned her nose up to. Go figure!

i wouldnt feed it that stuff as a staple jsut doesnt sound like a good idea, i would feed baby quail , cooked shredded chicken , the 99 ceent turkey out of a grocery mart, mice depending on the size of your lizard , stick to the goods, oh dont feed anything raugh like chicken alwase cook it because you could transmit salmonilla, and thats no good
