Regarding green ghost hets

Bulldawger Jul 16, 2003 06:49 PM

In the classifieds I found a pair of 100% het for green ghost balls. They are supposed to be from Ralph Davis and were posted by Ted at T&M Reptiles. Would this be a wise decision on my part, or does anybody know Ted? He mentioned Snake Keepers as one reference.

Never knew Ralph had a green ghost. He was going to buy mine when it went up for sale. Email Ralph.
I am sure he can tell you.
Get it from the horses mouth.

Green ghosts seem to be less attractive than a nice orange ghost, but with ANY het purchase, ask to see a pic of the homozygous animal that produced the hets. This will accomplish two things, you will see if they actually have an animal that is homozygous, and you will see how attractive the animal is. If they say the hets are from a het to het breeding, and have no homozygous animals, then they really do not know what they are doing, or are selling "suspect" animals. I have a stunning green ghost het pair, actually put them togather not too long ago, the female was eating like crazy, and up to 1600 or so grams, so decided to see what would happen They have a cool labyrinth pattern to boot! If you want green ghosts, I would look very carefully at the homozygous animal!!! and then go get a het pair of orange ghosts. We all have different tastes, so get what you like! My wife loves the Axanthic, and the Axanthic is WAY down on my list Who is to say...
