Possessive tegu

My little BW that I acquired as a hatchling last month is so darn cute. He still adamently protests being picked up, but otherwise, he's not really bashful at all. When I hang out watching him, I'll often rest my hand or arm in his (front opening) cage so he'll continue to get used to me. For the most part, he tongue flicks it once or twice and then goes about his business, ignoring it. Today, he had been digging around his cage, ignoring my arm, when I moved it over and rested it on his basking spot. His little head shot up and looked at it. He came running over from across the cage and immediately draped himself over my arm and spread out to bask. He looked at me, very pointedly, I believe, then turned his neck toward me, rested his head on my hand, closed his eyes, and basked. I could just hear him thinking, "This is MY basking spot! Mine mine mine!!!" LOL!

Sounds like you two are getting along nicely! Just as long as you know who's in charge lol
