My dwarf is about 1 year and being fed about 3 times per week. He either eats two rat pinkies, chopped mouse, or some slightly cooked chicken. Is this ok for a feeding schedule and amounts? Thanks for any advice.

It really does depend on your particular animal, its size, how active he is and its captive conditions like how warm it's being kept etc. You need to pay attention to your animal, if he seems to be rather thin and constantly hungury feed more. On the other hand, if he is putting on alot of weight and becoming fat you should cut back his meals.
My smooth front is 22" long and is kept with an temps of 82 F in the water and a basking spot of 105 F. He gets fed every other day and his meals rotate between hopper mice, ground turkey with vitamins, baby quail and crayfish. Normally he eats something like 2 hoppers, or a quail and a crayfish, I like to mix his meals up so its something new. But if I brought another caiman home, he might eat a extra mouse every feeding or half as much food as my current animal. So there isn't any hard fast rule about feeding, just pay attention to your animal, and you'll be fine.
