Saturday morning Boa birth....

RioBravoReptiles Aug 06, 2005 07:34 AM

.... Ok, now this has got me a little pumped... (aside from the anticipation of getting the queen of hurt out of that cage here in a while)..

Trinidad redtails.. not a perfect litter but acceptable (oh yeah).

Thanks all who helped with this through your hopes and prayers (though I think it more appropriate to pray for world-peace or an end to hunger).. you know who you are!

Is this the end this year or is there more to come? I need to give you a call and take some babies off your hands! You definately got some spice happening........Johnson Herp

Hey John.. yes. we're kicking butt and taking names!

So far the program here has been on a nice rising curve.. we breed animals, save some babies, raise them, they make more babies and so on.. I think it is planning and applied methodology.. I hope things keep progressing this way. When you get a big spike in your breeding then you have to wonder when the bottom will come up and smack you. This year has been pretty much what was hoped for.

But I've got nothing against luck (I like getting lucky) or divine intervention. I'll take it when I can get it.

What else is coming? .. a few interesting things!

Thanks for your kind words (that's a pretty boa you have there).

On top of the excitement of the litter, knowing that you need to move a 40-pound, gaping, hissing, hyper-alert, overprotective mother will really get the adrenaline flowing!
This wasn't her best litter, but don't tell HER that!

Congrats on another fantastic litter,

Steve Reiners
