Hello,
My computer is haveing problems too so I'm haveing to use another computer. Anyways I think the dried up part of my females tail was spreading. This morning I went out and caught some grasshoppers, and when I came back. She was just wakeing up. She was sitting in the Enterence of the place were they sleep. It' a rock propped up at an angle that they bask on and sleep under. Normally she sits in front of it for a little while before coming out. Today she did, but then kind of went crazy and wiggled a lot. Then as she came out I noticed right above the dry part of her tail it had broken, not all the way off though. I could see some red were the still alive tisue most be. What should I do.

Thanks,
Morgan

If it broke to the point of kind of hanging , I would snip it off, real quick, then apply antibiotic ointment(neosporin) a couple times a day until healed.

Also I would take her off sand and put her on paper towels while it is healing so nothing sticks to the area. Keep it clean and apply the antibiotic .

I must say I am not a vet, this is just what I would do if it were one of mine and the part of tail that broke was just hanging by a thread (so to speak).

Or you can call your Vet!

Hope she will be fine, let us know!
