Update - Piebald with twisted neck, please help!

msalem Aug 07, 2005 12:27 PM

I just want to update and thank everyone that took the time to reply to my post and email me with a few words. I took the baby pied to the vet on Friday and the vet gave it a shot and within a few seconds he/she was in ball python heaven. Now I am just going to concentrate on the 4 healthy babies.

Thank you again,
Mohamed Salem

WOW!

When I saw your first pics I sadly thought your little pied would have to be put down. It looked seriously deformed and all kinked up. I'm glad and amazed he/she turned out OK.

What did the vet say was wrong and what type of medicine was administered?

Amazing!
Joe

RE-read the post - the vet put the snake down.

Sorry for your loss. When I saw the pic, it seemed that there was only really one option. You made the right choice. Be thankful for what you did get from that clutch. Accept the fact that it is not always meant to be. It's part of this hobby.

Mohamed,

Sorry to hear about the 3rd pied's outcome but I have to say the 2 that survived are super sweet looking.

I am very sorry to hear about your snake. Unfortunately, there was nothing else you could do. But I commend you on trying to save her/his life. It certainly is heartbreaking.

I too am sorry for your loss. It was the right decision. Unfortunately these things do happen. Good luck with the rest of them.
