new ball

raisnok Aug 07, 2005 05:10 PM

i just got a new yearling ball python, so far the snake is doing well.
here is my set up:
55 gallon tank, with uth, basking light, 2 hides one for the cool side and one for the warmer side, large water dish, and a branch.
here is my question, they said the snake ate last week, i have read to give the snake time to adjust to being in a new enviroment....... should i try to feed the snake, or wait a few days?
also should i not handle him right now?

Best thing is to leave him be for a few days to a week, then offer him food. If he eats, great! if not, don't dispair, try again in a few more days. If he eats, you can handle him a couple days later, for a few minutes, but I wouldn't over do it.
