Opinions on the best rack system for breeding Leos..

LauraV Jul 16, 2003 08:26 PM

I looked through the posts and couldn't find anything on this topic. I am about to purchase some racks and need to get an idea on which are working out best for the breeders. I'm not mechanically inclined, so making my own is not a possiblity. I do want heat included in the rack. I need it to be able to house adults (at least a pair at a time - don't want to cramp them too much just to breed them). I looked at Boaphiles racks, but the nice ones I really like seem to have such tiny shoe boxes (maybe the size needed for hatchlings, but not adults??).
I'd love to hear your opinions on this. I have tanks all over the place and it doesn't look attractive and takes up hordes of space. I'm hoping the racks will lend a "neater" air to the reptile room.
Thanks!!

what i would do is just go buy a shelf that fits what you want and adjust the height via shelving clips to fit the height it will be much cheaper. and you can easly do the heat tape yourself. if not hire a handyman to come wire it up. that will still be cheaper than buying something prefab.
