Deli Cups

MichHerper Aug 07, 2005 07:57 PM

Anyone know where I can order deli containers with clear lids. I've looked everywhere and can't find any. And serpenco is sold out. Any help would be great. Need some for a show.

Thanks,
Jeff

Look around where you live.. I have a place called Grocers and they sell deli cups for $5 for 50 with lids!!
It's like a retail restaurant outlet.
A lot cheaper than buying them online.

You can request next day air but it could be costly. Otherwise they ship UPS ground.

I have used this company and had good luck with them with both deli cups/lids and shipping boxes. Here is their web address:

http://superiorenterprise.com/containers.html

I have not ordered from them in a couple of years because I found
a local vender who sells bulk items to both the stores as well as the public. The price is about the same as mail order but my local vender has several sizes on hand in stock. The thing I like best about the ones I get local they have a rubber like lid and it is hard to come off and will not break when you remove the lid time after time. ( my local vender sell cups in a sleeve of 100 cups and the lids are seperate and come in a 100 pack also. The lids are not clear but the bottom are clear plastic.

I start out my young corns in these and they can find their pink readly in them. I put a little bedding in the bottom (I use aspen) and staple a 1 1/2 ounce cup to side of the 16 oz deli cup
and then use a second 1 1/2 ounce cup (placed inside first cup) to hold water(does not have a staple in the second cup).

I bought a 1/16 inch hole punch at a craft store to punch air holes in the deli cups.

The nice thing about the water cups if dirty replace and even the
main deli cup can be eaisly replaced but usuall changing bedding and water cup is about the only thing you need to do. You could wash and reuse these but at a total cost on 20 cents or less you might as well replace them with new ones if you value your time.

Any questions I will be glad to try to answer and can e-mail a picture od a deli cup nursery.

I first saw these cups being used by Brandon Osborne and borrowed the ideal.

I am not trying to be funny.
I got some at a local store at the deli counter. I asked if I could buy some and they checked and charged me 10cents for cup with the lid. I was away from home and did not have a hole punch so I put a few holes in the lid to get the snakes home.

The deli cup had a store logo or picture on them but it worked ok.
