Long-nosed Leopard Lizard

leopard Jul 16, 2003 08:29 PM

I've my L-N Leopard Lizard for 5 months. I was actually looking up the wrong information for his habitat. I had been looking at the Desert Iguana and blunt-nosed leopard lizard (endangered, good thing I dont have that). I bought it in a local pet shop, but Im guessing they captured it from the wild.

What type of habitat would it need? I have it in a 10 gallon tank, with pebble like sand, a large stick to climb, a wood block for him hide under and some plastic vines along with a food and water dish. What other things do I need to keep him/her healthy?

I have a link to a caresheet on Leopard Lizards (Gambelia wislizenii) from the Colorado Herp Society. You can also do a search using google or other search engines to obtain more info.
