Planted Vivariums

I've had my share of planted tanks years ago, but I'm starting again - on a larger scale - and am reasearching the issue a little more thoroughly this time.

The tanks is going to house juvenile corn snakes, but a tree frog forum seemd like the best place to seek vivaria advice.

My first planted tanks had drainage issues - it was just soil, not drain. After that soured my second vivaria had just gravel and then soil. That worked well enough, but I know some people put more work into their drains.

There are alot of options available, but I'm looking to find the drainage soulution I like best.

So although I've plowed through google - I also want to ask your favorite vivaria construction links?

If anyone wants to mention their methods and why they do things that way, that would be great too.

Thank you for your help.

The best setup for drainage purposes, IMO, is a false bottom setup. Check out the dartfrog section here or www.dendroboard.com for more info. Good Luck.
