and he started to take off to the safety of a rock pile. Oh well, it was exciting to see a cerb for the first time in about 4 years. New locale for me too. I saw two yesterday, but one took off before I could get the camera out.

That happened to me too. Found a Speck and took about 15 GOOD shots only to find out later that there was a blade of grass in the way! LOL
