i just got my leopard gecko sat night about 6 inch (adoption) from my local petco.(pics soon to come)it came complete with set-up.my question is i gave her a cricket to eat right in her rock hiding area i didnt see her eat it just look at it,i have a bearded dragon so im use to seeing him jump off his pearch and run crazy after his prey, maybe it'll take me time to get use to the slower pace,is this normal since i read they eat every other day?she looks great and plump beautiful colors, too bad they dont like the light,go figure,i also havent handled her yet,im not gonna pull her out of her hiding ares just waiting for her to come out so i can say hello any advice will be appreciated.

Sometimes it takes them a few days to settle in. Others don't seem to like eating if someone is watching or unless it is totally dark. I know what you mean about Beardies. Mine would launch himself like a missle at any food. My leos/fatties are more laid back. Jessie will come out of his hide and look around/chase them right away. Others look and ignore them until later. I would put a couple in there at night and the next morning see if they are gone. Perhaps she is just a shy eater. Can't wait for the pics! And congrats on your new gecko.
