I took some photos last night of the gravid female. She has refused to feed for about the last month and has been basking on the hot spot very regularly for several weeks now. She has darkened considerably and is starting to fill out nicely. It is difficult to pinpoint with greens, but if I were to guess, I would estimate her giving birth in about three months. It will be interesting to see how many young she has this time, as she is a little over a foot longer than when she had her last litter.

was about 4 months ago and she was between 14 and 14.5 feet. Jud acquired her as a neonate about 8 years ago and her exact origins are unknown. She feeds outstandingly well on rabbits, which I feel is necessary to consistently put breeding size on a female green in a captive environment. I've had other females that did not feed well on rabbits that just never show a good weight gain as they get older and longer. I have a female I held back from our 2001 litter that is from a different maternal bloodline but also a great rabbit feeder. She is almost 12 feet at 3.5 years of age and between 80 and 90 lbs. Her temperament is outstanding and she seems to get calmer with each year. I’ll get a photo of her shortly and post it. Thanks,

Wow, I didn't know you had more Greens, that's awesome. Have you kept one from every clutch you have had? I wish my Hybrid would have less of a feeding response...lol. She almost caught me in the side when I opened the cage during feeding time, I didn't even get the door all the way open. I think she would feed on anything, anytime. I can't wait to see a picture of your other Green though, always awesome to see pics of tame greens. Or greens in general I guess, who cares, lol.
