New born questions

msalem Aug 08, 2005 02:10 PM

I have 4 new balls that just hatched on 08/01/05 and this is my first clutch so I have never dealt with new borns before and I just have a few questions:

1) When should I start to feed them?
2) Can I probe them this early or should I wait until they eat?
3) I am housing them together right now, should I seperate them or is this okay?
4) How long should I wait before being able to ship them?

Thanks in advance,
Mohamed

1) When should I start to feed them? After the 1st shed in about 8-10days after hatching..

2) Can I probe them this early or should I wait until they eat? Newborns dont realy need to be probed you can sex them if you know how to pop them if you dont find some exsperienced that can do it for you..

3) I am housing them together right now, should I seperate them or is this okay? SEPERATE THEM.. I personally dont think ball pythons should be housed together unless they are adults and you are attempting breeding them..

4) How long should I wait before being able to ship them? I would suggest once they have had 4-5 meals atleast or wiegh 150grams...
