for breeding leos. I want a rack that can be big enough to hold breeeding pairs of leos and some babies.

You should try and build your own. It is cheaper than buying one.

I'm not very skilled at carpentry, but I built my own rack. I also own a boaphile sideways blanket box rack and love it, but the homemade one was about half the price(and twice the weight). For your purposes, you may be better off building one, because you can make different sized shelves to put hatchling-sized containers on a couple shorter shelves in addition to the full size shelves for the breeders. Check out how I built My Rack

Thank You very much you guys helped me out alot!

Before we made our own racks I was thinking about getting either the 10 or 15 drawer sweater box rack. That's a good size to house a pair of leos in each container.

buy something the width you want and just use shelving clips to adjust the height. heat tape and you done save umm prolly 300 bucks

you can even have a handy man build you custom stuff cheaper than production racks

geckoman2000 Jul 16, 2003 09:28 PM

How would i set up the heat tape?

dragonlady01 Jul 16, 2003 09:31 PM

You can get the heat tape, the aluminum foil, metal & plastic connectors and the cord from the Bean Farm (www.thebeanfarm.com). You will also need the crimper to crimp the connectors to the heat strip. When you buy the materials they will send you instructions on how to do it yourself.
