Well I have a Tokay Gecko. They are typically nocturnal and I have no problem with that. I'm at work all day so i don't really have any desire for a "day time" pet.
Right now since its summer the temps at night are fine for my fella. However, i want to have a night light to see him and to provide heat in the winter.
I've herd that the Red lights are fine... i've herd they cause problems. http://www.anapsid.org/blacklight.html says to use dark red blue or green.
Red is slightly annoying because i cannot see the cage that well. I'm guessing the dark blue will give it a more "natural" night time look. And the "Party" black lights are for the most part bad... right?
So should i go with blue for sure? or is there some solution that I am missing? I can set up an RHP for heating if needed, but i'd also like to see my guy at night.
Also... if anyone can reccomend any specific brand names that would be great too.
