Hi:

Today is my first official day as moderator of the Salamander & Newt forum. Let me introduce myself. My name is Terry and I originally came from the Reptile and Amphibian community on America On-Line where I served as moderstor/host for over 12 years. I have kept a variety of frogs, toads, salamanders, newts and caecilians for over 40 years. When I was much younger, I lived in Germany. A friend of mine introduced me to a variety of really cool amphibians, like the smooth and great crested newts and the fire salamander.

I am also a long time member of the Nebraska Herpetological Society where I served as its president from 1994-1996. Since then I have published several articles on amphibians.

Let me know if you are interested in having a live, monthly salamander/newt chat. It will give us an opportunity to know each other and share our ideas about these wonderful animals.

Welcome aboard Terry I'd like the idea of a amphibian chat. I have kept many species of amphibians over the past 12 yrs. I currently have a 3-toed amphiuma, paddletail newts(3), fire belly newt, texas barred tiger salamanders(2), and an albino green tree frog. My name is Steven but I go by many names in the reptile chat. My registered names are Macroclemys, Dermochelys and Physignathus but I do not use them in there anymore. I use CrownedOne_nr now.
