Hey,
Yes you can, but what's the point of hybridizing perfection? There really is no point in that. One other thing, if you don't already know the geography of Sumatra. There are naturally occurring areas in Sumatra where Sumatran short-tails and Sumatran red bloods ranges cross and the two species come in contact with each other. So yes, the two species can be bred as it's already a naturally occurring phenomenon.

Speak for yourself- lets say you wanted to make T positive hets with a black? Its being done, and we'll probably see a lot more hybridizing going on in the future.

I read somewhere that hybrids in the blood/short-tail group are usually sterile. I don't know if this is definitely true or not, but if it is than it wouldn't do any good to try and hybridize an albino. All you would get is some goofy looking snakes. -chris-

Thought I'd post some goofy looking snakes.
First Orange headed black blood. Next pic is red next to same orange headed black. Both from an albino red dad. Pretty goofy huh?? Sorry about pic quality.

VPI has an albino Sumatran Short Tail already... whats the point in flawing their gene pool to get an "albino black"... it's not going to be a black its going to be a hybrid albino. Not to mention it will probably be a pretty ugly color. If you have seen pics of the albino black it wouldn't look very good with red or yellow mixed in.. If you really want to hybridize and do "neat interesting stuff" in that realm you need to find a different kind of snake. It's not looked upon highly in most of the bloodaholics point of view. Just my 2c
