what kind of snake can be housed like this?

I was wondering if there are any small specie of snake that might be able to be kept in a naturalistic tropical-type planted vivarium.

I have kept Corns before, but that is all. This tank is set up for frogs, actually, and I am still planning on housing frogs in it, but just out of curiosity was wondering if anyone keeps snakes like this...

It is a 55 gallon tank, VERY heavily planted with tropical plants (pothos, philodendron, bromeliads, mosses, etc), dried vines, etc. temp stays about 75F and humidity stays about 75%.

As I said, this is a hypothetical question, as I am planning to house frogs in this tank, but was just wondering, as I would imagine a small colorful snake kept in such an enclosure would be absolutely captivating...

Hard to say for sure but a colony of Sharptailes might do well in an enclosure like that. They don’t get very big and thrive in damp climates, The only problem I can really think of is feeding then since they prey for the most part exclusively on slugs.

A rough Green would do famously in there. Also some garters and vine snakes (gen. Ahellula).

You got me interested with the rough green lol

Perhaps this tank may become a frog tank, but I've got another empty one just waiting to be used...

Know of any good sites on these guys? I am a huge advocate of "naturalistic" type vivariums - they are so pleasing to the eye - and I love caring for the plants and seeing THEM flourish ALMOST as much as I love my little critters...

There are some great pics to in the photo gallery of nicely planted green snake set ups. I dont know exactly where but have seen them.
I think your treefrogs might be stressed by them . As many smaller arboreal snakes eat them. Greens wont but the treefrogs dont know this .
We have wild ones around here tho I rarely see them. They seem to enjoy the sun and bask.
I have never seen them on the ground just on the fence or vines.

I am not going to keep frogs and snakes in the same enclosure - just one or the other. That would be WAY too stressful for either animal, whether they were at chance of being eaten or not... I was mostly just curious as to whether anyone keeps snakes the same way I keep my frogs.

I have a Florida Redbelly. Would one do well in this type setup? He feeds on brown slugs. So far I have not had any luck in getting him to eat anything else. Just curios if he would do well in such a moist enviroment. Could he be housed with a house gecko?
