The making of a Blizzard California Kingsnake - clutch #6

Kerby... Aug 08, 2005 11:03 PM

Okay, 2 years ago I bred an Albino High White male to a Mendota (melanistic) female producing double het babies. This year I bred some of those back to each other in 2 different clutches. One of those clutches hatched. I did get a Blizzard (albino melanistic) but no albinos and no melanistics. I still have another clutch left to hatch from the same male and another female sibling. I will also post those pics once they hatch.

Do you think some of those may be hypo? Or just real light and will darken with a shed or two?

I wouldn't call them hypo, but they are different. The one from last year, a double het (lavender & albino) is still different looking. Funny how some of the double hets have that hypo look.
