Inhabits sandy areas and edeges of dry forests in Madagascar. Needs very high temperatures, fine sand to burrow and extrme bright lights. Metal halides are a absolut emust.
Also it is a very agile lizard, which needs much more space than one would suspect from its small size. The tank should preferably exceed 4 x 2 ft ground space.
