I recently got a flaviargus from a very nice guy, and I cant thank him enough. The supposed breeder told him that this animal was female, after recieving her I thought to myself "this monitor looks like a male with a females head, but not quite" oh well Ill go by what the guy was told and we named her Susie. Our mistake and he has gotten more and more male looking in a few weeks time, I also saw an eversion that looked to be in no way a female. Oh well, Ill figure out this one, she was verified as a he so I took more pics, guess what hes looking more and more male as he gains weight and muscle mass. This of course is fine to me, because shes now a he named Stan not Susie, lol.
This one confused me from the start, seemed to be more difficult than telling a straight argus male or female. Live an learn, so Stans younger than I expect, thats another great thing.
