Hi everyone,
Well, yesterday my gravid smooth earth snake dropped seven fully developed babies, but none managed to make it out of their amniotic sacs. the babies were neat little slate blue snakes. I am not yet discouraged, as I still see two very pronounced lumps near the venter, and am hoping that maybe 1 or 2 "late" births will come. I have frozen the bodies of the dead snakes. Unfortunate, but there is still hope, and it is a very interesting process to watch.
