I haven't posted for a bit, but Darwin had an adventure today and he wanted to share it with you. He accompanied me on my Lepidopteran duties and when we first got out there he clambered up a huge sassafras tree. (don't worry, his leash is NOT choking him, I promise )

He was always in sight but when I glanced over I did not see him on the end of his leash! How could he get away!? Whew! he had flattened himslef in the grass aftyer basking on a big rock and he was well camouflaged! I love the close up head shots (btw, he is 214g and about 15" long and will be 6 months tomorrow )

Neat. Say, where do you guys get those leashes? I'd like to get one for my [future] bearded

lele Aug 10, 2005 10:42 AM

I got mine at a local chain pet store for about $4. Made by 4-Paws (I think). The only thing I don't like is the latch. A little hard for me to manage due to arthritis and I also worry about it irritating him. I may replace the clasp or just get another leash down the road. I have his leash tied to a 50' length of bright yellow cord so I can let him roam (withn reason) more than the 6' of the blue one.

That boy is the bomb! His breeder must be a genius!

alphadragon Aug 10, 2005 01:56 PM

Lol...Yeah my girlfriend, who is from Pittsburgh, was telling me not to write ridiculous because it is a Southern California term and that she had never heard it used the way we use it in SOCAL. It just means that the dragon is really really nice.
Oh yes and who ever bred that dragon gets a big pat on the back...
Thanks,
Randy
