Mexican Black Kings not eating......Any tips?

lgehrig4 Aug 09, 2005 08:44 PM

I bought a pair of young(1-2 month old) MBKs in early July and was told that they were feeding on live or f/t pinks. Each ate their 1st feeding and none since. My temps seem to be in the ballpark (72-76 cool side - 82-86 warm side) and I don't handle them. They are housed individually in a rack system.

Also in the same rack are 1.1 MBK yearlings, 2.2 Corns, 1.2 Gray Banded and 1.1 Black Milksnakes. All of these eat without fail.

Any suggestions? I don't have much experience and this is new territory for me. I guess I've been lucky.

thanks
Jeff

Just make sure they have fresh water available. I bet they come around soon. I would not change anything...seems like your temps are fine. Tom Stevens

Thanks Tom! I'll bet I won't have this problem with one of your babies
