This is the Peppers Hill Alterna that Steve Boyd caught back in July 1996. Enjoy!

as it would be just about impossible to pair up. I would hate to have to hunt Peppers Hill back and forth all night, LOL.

Well then how about walking down in the canyon for most of the night? No driving here. He found this while out walking the Canyon. EVEN TOUGHER!!!

The canyon on the South side of the road at the top looks awesome. Finding one on the road there would be the pinnacle of luck in my opinion. Who knows, maybe? I have had a lot of good luck when it comes to finding alterna. Hunt aggresively, but being in the right spot at the right time is good....Ric

About the same as finding one headed for the Cantina in the middle of Sanderson, probably

I know of at least 1 other found while walking this area, and only 3 on the roads.

My guess would be that to walk the rims both North and south of the road would be a much better to way to find one there than driving it.

Of course, with the new awesome road cuts there now, it probably won't be too long before one is spotlighted there.

while just going back and forth while working or living in Lajitas. Those animals went to Steve P ( Hyper Viper ) and cost him a pretty penny. I don't remember the total cost but I had to deliver some $400 to Lee from Steve whilst Lee lived out back of Study Butte and scared Steve into paying him for the remainder of the balance. Heck, I got a nice knife from Lee for my troubles of delivering monies. LOL! I think some of us said those 3 snakes went for around $1,200 to hyper Viper. Does anybody know if that was true ? WOW ! Well, if memory serves me right I remember an incident where Steve laid out $600 on Juno one time for a snake and the recipient didn't reciprocate. Another LOL !

there's a really light one from Lee Frazer that ended up with Salmon

there's a dark one that I don't know who caught it that also ended up with Salmon

and Merker caught one the first time he went out somewhere in the area

Not that I really care, but Lee's last name is spelled FRAZIOR, and of course no relation to John Frazer. I think he sold that Peppers Hill to Salmon for six hundred, maybe eight hundred? Let's ask Gerry.

OOOPS!! That would be John Fraser. Sorry John!!

area, lets see that seeing, hearing and spelling syndrome like i have...LOL ! I knew it was lee Frazer or frasiour or something. I still say that whomever ended up with peppers-hill alterna Steve P bought 3 from him. We need to ask Joe since Joe hung with Steve after I did. Were the peppers hills 3 from lee bogus ? I can't tell you that and now that i think of it, there was some exchange of money in the amount of $1,600 or so between them. So smoke it Wayne ! LOL !

all I remember is that there were snakes, and money. I seem to remember it was a lot of money. I don't know that anyone really trusted the localities all that much, other than maybe Hyper Viper. Sorry man I'm getting old too!

While I too am getting old, if memory serves, there were 3 snakes purchased from that loser Lee F. back in the day. The light Peppers was part of the group that supposedly included a Blairs type from behind Wildhorse somewhere in the XMas and another from a location I won't disclose. All 3 were exceptional animals available at a crazy time for w/c alterna.

The group was purchased for a lot of money and I remember a dollar amount to be in excess of 1K, but I wouldn't bet that the amount I recall is necessarily the correct amount paid.

The Dark Peppers referred to earlier was purchased from Casey Lazik and was a female. Gerry was successful in producing offspring from this animal and the Lee F. male.

ask me why i had to pay Lee in person from Hyper Viper. It is another very funny story on the famous ( or infamous ) of the Hyper Viper. Yes, there are many floating words and names of " losers " of some alterna people back in the days of big money exchange or catches and just maybe several that we are talking about here. Me, heck, I had and still have somewhat of a following of losers that " hung " with me or I was/am acquainted with. But I see/saw them as a resource of laughter either in unbelievable stories, escapades, or actually doings. AND I have always liked a good laugh !
