JSREPTILES Aug 10, 2005 03:43 AM

LOOK HOW WEAK HIS IMMUNE SYSTEM IS ,BOY IS HE INFERIOR I REALLY SHOULD FREEZE HIM. I'LL BET ANYONE OF YA, YOU DON'T HAVE A 3 MONTH OLD BALL THAT WEIGHS THIS MUCH (HE WAS A 38GR HACHLING TOO..CRAZY HUH?) JUST ENJOY THE PIC AND PLEASE DON'T START A WAR THIS TIME.

A FRIEND SAID I SHOULD POST HIM ON THE SCALE SO YOU COULD ALL SEE WHY THIS LITTLE GUY SHOULD NOT BE FROZEN, BECAUSE HE'S AN AWSOME, HEALTHY, STRONG ANIMAL WHO HAS NOTHING MORE BUT THE WILL TO LIVE. (AND EAT)..LOL..

i belive that snake is a fantastic animal. i would suppose that without scales they require a little more extra care?!? you have my best of wishes regarding the future of that very interesting trait keep us posted on future success.

You know... I wasn't a big fan of the animal when it was little, but as it's growing, I'm starting to change my mind... it's not that I thought it was unethical, although, I had doubts as to weather it would shed right or not, I thought it was just sort of ugly... but I'm thinking... that might look good crossed with a pied... or an albino... it's definitely interesting... I need to see it in person though

Very interesting snake. Looks completely healthy to me, though a little strange since it is missing half it's scales. Don't really think the absence of heat pits makes any difference. I don't think it's the scales themselves that sense heat, but an actual organ. The scales just form the pit to better funnel the heat it's sensing. I may be wrong but seem to recall reading something about it years ago.

The lack of scales seem to enhance it's color and of course give it a smooth unbroken look to the color pattern. It certainly shows the skin holds as much pigmentation as the scales themselves. It makes me wonder, what does it's skin feel like? Like smooth soft skin or more leathery?
