some one told me there is an exotic pet show on the raleigh fair grounds september 3-4
this is in north carolina by the way***

is this a big event or just a small animal show....its a two hour drive and i dont want to get there and have it be a small tent of snakes......

in general "exotic " pet shows are for all types of animals and act alot like a petting zoo and all for all kinds of people..

I have never been to any........and I hear all kinds of boring bad feedback about them.......

I drive 8 hours to set up at the show. If you wanna see all types of reptiles then you need to attend the show. Thanks David

Yeah,i had never even seen a piedbald in person until i finally went to the one last spring.
I picked up a great looking pastel from David(its doing great now),and a few nice hatchling females from Ben.

...all sorts of animals...big,small...and it was all i could do to walk outa there without a bird.(of all things)

Of course just meeting some of these jokers was worth the drive.

i have been both time last year, it was nice alot of vendors there breeders and companies, if you go go the 3rd and try to get there about 1030 am or 1100 am, plan on being there for a while if you like to look, there are reptiles, exotics and birds, and some small animals, there are a bunch of frozen prey items for sale their to, that cuts out shipping cost....
i was hoping to go but i will be working both days.
btw i am in fay nc.

i just moved to nc about 5 months ago. and i plan on going to this Raighle show. i dont know where it is but a friend does. the last show i went to was up in pa the hamburg show. they have baby ball pythons for like $15! i didnt get any babies then but i think i would love one. do they have deals on babies at this show? i guess it depends huh? well ill be looking for ward to any reptile show.
these ball pythons are great. i couldnt ask for anything better. lol.

yes there are breeders there selling stuff for good deals, though when i went i was looking for a female sugar glider didnt have any luck the day i went, they do usually sell them there, most people like going to clubs and concerts and movies.... those shows are my thing. last year in spet when i went i was there for several hours, a friend went with me and he acted like he wasnt having fun so he left, he drove, i stayed and caught a bus back, but i had fun.......havent spoken to him since then, because he was saying i was talking to every one a picking up snakes and such and he didnt realize i was the weird....LOL
if having all the animals i have and enjoying something like that show makes me weird then id much rather be weird than normal.

It is worth it to drive to Raleigh to the show. I have been to the last 5 shows. The last show in the spring had a lot less venders than previous shows. I hope the next show will have more.

The show is big enough to fill the arena floor with reptiles, the consession area with mammals and cages, birds on the outside, and a petting zoo where you can get your picture taken with a tiger. There are seminars, pony rides, and other stuff. You can easily spend a half day there before you buy anything.

We got a hatchling from Ben S. for $30 that is up to 400 grams. My wife always drools over the lynx and bengle cats.
