How would marijuana smoke affect a snake? more

metal_pitbu11 Aug 10, 2005 01:28 PM

I had a friend ask me what would happen if you got a snake high. I really didnt know what to tell him. Im sure it isnt good for him but he wanted to know how the snake would react. I'm kinda curious after not knowing the answer to his quesiton. I would never get a snake high, i dont get myself high, let alone a snake, but i was just curious. thanks, and i hope im not starting anything by posting this (was not my intentions) thanks again.

tell your friend second hand smoke hurts everyone around them. what is he thinking anyways???

if he has a snake please take it away from him. i'm assuming the snake will get defensive. i've read another poster that would play loud music with a snake in the room. it didn't show effects right away but later it got real defensive.

don't let him do it!!

Marijuana doesn't hurt you to any noticable degree.

Second hand marijuana smoke definitely doesn't hurt you.

Second hand cigarette smoke has been shown to aid the progression of heart desease (which is not a disease, but rather a condition,). However, so have stuffy rooms and about a billion other rediculous things.

Infact, no credible (i.e., peer-reviewed study) has ever shown any long term effects of second hand smoke. The EPA (the government) found a 25 prcent increase in lung cancer, but big tobacco was correct in calling this study "junk science."

I say all this to incourage you to quit being a pawn of the propoganda machine- yes, propoganda. The drug war (and now, the cigartette war) has historically been to hoard power and steal civil and economic liberties (Don't think I'm a liberal, because this war hurts the economy probably more than civil rights.)

Of coarse, what do I know, I'm just another hooked youth no doubt, who says rediculous things like "marijuana doesn't hurt you."
Just one of the reasons...

COMMON SENSE.......But then again if he is smoking pot, he probably doesnt have any to begin with!! Thats kind of like asking "Does huffing paint hurt you??".

Im guessing the snake would go to its hide box and chill in there so its away from everything... its prolly be freaking out ya kno? all stoned and paranoid... yes yes, it would def flee to its hide box and i bet it wouldnt move....

BrandonReise Aug 11, 2005 11:15 AM

it would most likely just chill in one spot sit back flick his toung and kick it. im pritty sure he wouldent get all defensive or anything.(mosty cuz ive seen it done allot when i was younger im not that stupid anymore) but when we did get the snake stoned he got a respatory infection. (could have saw that comeing) so after that i never let anyone smoke out a snake again and neither should you unless you feel like paying for the vet visits to fix the infection wich the snake will probrably get.

I have never allowed my animals to come in contact with marijauna, but when I lived in the dorms, a buddy of mine had a bunch of herps. (I had 3 snakes myself, what the university doesn't know...) He got his animals high fairly frequently- leopard geckos, a tokay, 2 green iguanas, and a ball python. They were all dead by the end of the semester. I think bad husbandry played a factor as well, but it was more than enough to convince me it was a terrible idea.

I tried this once with a retic, his health was fine and he became very mellow. Unfortunetly he dropped out of school and still lives in his moms basement.
