What do we learn from experience? PREVENTION
Either I am getting old or I am dumb as a stone! I got a new pair of doreanus last week, the first thing I wanted to do was to change one 75w flood positioning, I figured a new monitor might hang to it, well I neglected this issue and now my new monitor has burns on left hand and forearm. My partner says I only post others faults, this time my bad.

Yes the monitor will be ok, it’s just that I know very well doreanus are easy to burn, we even talk about it on this site few weeks ago, yet I make this stupid mistake again.

This local is one of my favourite, some individuals are very colourful and I was told hatchlings are the most beautiful of the blue tails, it’s been 2 years waiting for these only to goof up!
Glad you like it, I will post better photos soon

Oh nice. If you have time, you would be more then welcome to come by the farm. (I have horses as well as herps)
Were looking at property in this area:
Merville/Black Creek, Comox Valley, Vancouver Island/Smaller Islands

Would you by chance happen to know anything about herp laws for that region? Especially regarding large monitors, and snakes.

Best regards

Thanks for the invitation, my wife and I are planning a trip with the kids to Vancouver next summer, we just both 14 trailer house especially for this.
The only herpers I know that can help you with regulation are Jeff Favel and Don Patterson, look them up!
My company regularly buys forestry land in these areas, my wife’s in real estate and operates for RE/MAX, maybe she can hook you up if you need help. She’s the horse freak in the family, as for me it’s got to have an engine.

Sorry for you and your beauty Steeve. I still think doreanus are a specie really fragile to burn
