thinking about getting a cooks tree boa... any tips?

i know they say that most cooks arnt really Corallus cookii cuz there so rear. i was told it is a cook and i was looking into getting it. i dont know much about tree boas so im lookin for some info. ive done some research but was looking for some info from people who own and keep them. ive kept snakes for somet ime now but all are desert snakes. I live in the high desert of So Cal. I have rosies, kings, milks and stuff like that but have never tried anything arboreal.
