cracked spur?

bps516 Aug 10, 2005 07:09 PM

When we first got our bp from a rescue group he was already missing a spur. Today I noticed that the other one seems to have a crack in it now. Is this a problem health wise? We are not planning to ever breed him in the first place, I just want to make sure that this will not cause any other problems for him.

I am not expert regarding this but, I noticed awhile back that my albino male didn't have spurs but I swear he had them before. I was wondering if he lost his in the mating process or something early on, but on the good side it doesn't seem to effect anything as one of my females layed 8 good eggs sired by him and one of my other females should lay any day.
